Question: Your third task is to write a paragraph on your personal page that identifies the forces that have shaped you into the person you are today. You should identify at least ten forces in addition to explaining how the force has shaped you.
Response:
Throughout life there are obstacles that one is going to face. They will be forces that will build a wall up and make you tear it down. Things are going to happen that will change your personality completely. One major force that changed my personality was my transition from field hockey into tennis. I had such a heart for field hockey but there were forces that strained me away. The way things were handled had me lose my love for the sport. As I transitioned into tennis I went from a team sport to an individual and independent sport. This helped me trust myself and skills to be able to be confident in my playing. Another force was going from middle school to high school. I realized that I wanted to be more involved. Moving into high school allowed me to be in more clubs and activities that let me branch out. My parents are a huge force when it came to changing my personality. From a little age my parents helped shape me into a very family orientated person. They are always there for me and this makes me want to be there for my family because I know how much it means to me and I know it means just as much to them. My brother was also a force that showed me to branch out. He is in so many clubs and those really made me look up to him and strive to be involved. Also, surprisingly, my teachers were a strong force. I have had some admirable teachers that were always there for me. I saw how dedicated they were in making sure I succeed. This powerful force told me that I knew I wanted to do the same. My teachers showed me that I also desire to go into the same career. My internship was also a force on its own. Being with the elementary students and seeing them interact proved to me that I really want to be a teacher. Sadly, the end of friendships was a harsh force that altered my personality for the better. Having friendships die off showed me that you need to be independent, but also have a great source or friends that you can always go to. On the up side, having valuable friendships was another force that brought me back up whenever I was down. Having great friends changed my personality because it made me more open to people instead of being shy. It allowed me to have more trust in people because I knew they wouldn't put me down. Also, being in National Art Honor Society was a force that showed me that I enjoy art, but not enough to puruse a career in it. This force changed my personality because I went from being unsure of what art career I could pursue, into a more secure career choice. Lastly, being involved in Relay for Life was a remarkable force that made my personality more optimistic. Relay for Life is an organization that fights for cancer. I’m involved in this to help raise money to find a cure for the illness. This helped me understand that not every issue is as big as it seems. I see how people with this deadly illness cope in such a positive way, that it makes me want to always be positive no matter what problem comes my way. Overall these forces are positive and negative, but I wouldn't have it any other way because each force made me who I am today.
I can relate to you wanting to help find a cure for cancer. My grandpa died of throat cancer and my moms dad had breast cancer. It's very inspiring to hear that you want to do all that you can to help a cause that is always in need of desperate help.

I can relate to the way your family has impacted they way you were shaped into who you are today. I feel that families have the biggest impact on how we are shaped. They are there for always and they help you learn and grow. They teach you the responisibilites that you will need to know later on in life. I feel that other things have impact as well but your family is always the strongest impact.
